Our Story
Our story begins in 2007, when one of the common sense advisory 40 top translation companies contacted our team leader, Reza E, asking for help. The company had received a large project, assigned to them by a leading software and online service company. The scope of this project was expansive. It involved translation into four languages; Arabic, Persian (Farsi), Dari, and Pashto and the text was more than 650,000 words. The initial step involved recruiting the most academically qualified translators with expertise in the four target languages that had a very good command of academic language and extensive knowledge of specialized jargons of the technology field. In addition to the translation, other scopes of the project included editing and proofreading, DTP and design, and a post DTP check by the initial translators. Handling this large project by the deadline imposed by client would not have been not feasible without the experience of all of the team members and their knowledge of the technology and CAT tools. Using the SDL Trados platform, they created a glossary of all the important terms and then created translation memories to save time while working on the translating of the text. This also helped them when they exported the translations into Adobe InDesign so that the DTP team, led by Ali, could work on the formatting and design.
When one of our completed projects was delivered a day before the deadline, the client was surprised by both quality and design of the translated files. They met all their quality assurance requirements. The minor changes required were provided by us in less than 24 hours. Initiating those changes could have taken several days without the streamlined management of this work by our team leader who was able to call upon available technology and the right members of the team to see the project through to the end.
This client has continued working with us for nearly a decade and we have secured many more clients through referrals. We handle up to 250 small and large projects weekly in Arabic, Turkish, Hebrew, Persian (Farsi), Dari, and Pashto. Our success was achieved simply by meeting, and often exceeding, our client’s expectations. This involved understanding the client’s needs and projects, prompt communication via email, and recommending how to most effectively complete the project, while showing respect for the client’s expertise. We also use the latest language and translation software to bring consistency and superior quality to the work. Our DTP specialists excel at the right-to-left languages and know the Middle Eastern languages so they can readily detect problems. Our consistent on time delivery of superior quality work has enabled our team to succeed.
After collaborating on thousands of projects with clients for nearly a decade, we ascertained what they needed from us. They wanted hassle free service from a team skilled at handling all aspects of the translation request. And that’s what we do. We manage and supervise the entire project from start to finish. We receive and respond to your request. The main linguist begins working on the translation. The translation is assigned to an editor and proofreader. Then the final result is reviewed to make sure it meets the Quality Assurance (QA) requirements established by our team. We send it to the DTP team for formatting, typesetting and design. After a screening of the final proof by the initial translator and DTP team, the final version of the file is delivered in the format requested by client (*.docx, *.pdf *.ai *.fm *.xliff *.idml *.pub , etc.).
Our high rate of client satisfaction speaks for our excellence in the industry. As translators and DTP specialists, we know many of our clients are industry leader Language Service Providers (LSPs) and that sometimes they become overwhelmed dealing with clients and their many requests. So we started a unique system of communication and collaboration that would enable us to streamline the process of translating, reviewing and delivering files.
Kaluts has almost a decade of experience in Middle Eastern translation. Our eight specialty languages are Arabic, Armenian, Dari, Hebrew, Kurdish, Pashto, Persian (Farsi) and Turkish, but we work with many other languages also. As demands have increased for deliverables in other middle Eastern languages, we have added more topnotch translators to our team of professionals.
